Extension of mandatory Security testing of WiFi CPE and IP Router under MTCTE

In continuation to this office Notification No. 1-6/2022-TC/TEC dated27.02.2023 (copy enclosed), the mandatory start date for accepting online applications of WiFi CPEs and IP Router on MTCTE portal for security testing (ITSAR) has been extended by six months i.e. from 01.07.2023 to 01.01.2024.

1. It is notified that the start date of acceptance of applications including security testing on Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment (MTCTE) portal for WiFi CPEs and IP Router is 01/07/2023. Hence, security parameters as per Indian Telecom Security Assurance Requirements (ITSARs) will also be applicable for applications submitted on MTCTE portal on or after 01/07/2023 along-with ER parameters for these two products.

2. Further, the OEMs who have been given MTCTE certificate (based on ER) or whose application are under process for the said products before 01/07/2023 are also required to mandatorily apply for conversion of their MTCTE certificate to integrated certificate with security testing. A provision for the same shall be provided through certificate modification option once the MTCTE portal is made live for accepting applications including security testing.
